Terms & Conditions
Last updated: 22 July 2026
These terms govern your use of the North Coast Oncology website (the "Site"). By accessing or using the Site, you agree to these terms. If you do not agree, please do not use the Site.
1. Educational information only
Content on this Site is provided for general education and information. It does not constitute medical advice, diagnosis or treatment, and does not create a doctor-patient relationship. Always consult a qualified healthcare professional regarding your individual circumstances. In an emergency, contact your nearest emergency service immediately.
2. Appointment requests and registration
Booking and registration forms on the Site submit a request to our reception team. They are not a live booking system and do not confirm an appointment. Our team will contact you to confirm availability, timing and any clinical requirements. Requests must be submitted at least 24 hours in advance.
You are responsible for providing accurate, complete and current information. Submitting another person's information without their consent is not permitted.
3. Permitted use
You agree to use the Site lawfully and not to:
- attempt to access accounts, systems or data you are not authorised to access;
- upload malicious code, scrape at abusive rates or disrupt the Site;
- reproduce, republish or distribute Site content commercially without written permission;
- misrepresent your identity or affiliation.
4. Intellectual property
All text, imagery, logos, layout and design on the Site are the property of North Coast Oncology or its licensors, and are protected by copyright and trademark law. You may view and print content for personal, non-commercial use only. All other rights are reserved.
5. Third-party links and services
The Site may link to third-party resources for further reading. We do not control and are not responsible for the content, accuracy or practices of any third-party site.
6. Privacy and cookies
Your use of the Site is subject to our Privacy Notice (POPIA). We use a small number of strictly necessary cookies and local browser storage to remember preferences such as your language choice and your cookie consent. We do not use advertising or cross-site tracking cookies.
7. Disclaimer of warranties
The Site is provided on an "as is" and "as available" basis. To the maximum extent permitted by law, we make no warranties, express or implied, regarding accuracy, completeness, availability or fitness for a particular purpose. See our Medical Disclaimer for further detail.
8. Limitation of liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, North Coast Oncology, its practitioners and staff shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, consequential or special damages arising from your use of, or inability to use, the Site or reliance on its content. Nothing in these terms excludes liability that cannot be excluded under South African law.
9. Regulatory compliance
North Coast Oncology operates in accordance with the Health Professions Council of South Africa (HPCSA) ethical rules on advertising and professional conduct, and the Protection of Personal Information Act, 2013 (POPIA).
10. Changes to these terms
We may update these terms from time to time. Material changes will be reflected by an updated "Last updated" date at the top of this page. Continued use of the Site after changes indicates acceptance of the updated terms.
11. Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of the Republic of South Africa. Any disputes will be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the South African courts.
